Jiangsu environmental protection untrustworthy enterprises will pay more electricity charges up to 1 jiao per kWh.

Xinhua News Agency, Nanjing, June 8 (Reporter Qin Huajiang) Recently, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment and the Provincial Development and Reform Commission jointly issued the Notice on Perfecting the Differentiated Price Policy Based on the Evaluation Results of Environmental Credit. According to the environmental credit evaluation results of red-rated enterprises and black-rated enterprises with serious dishonesty, their electricity prices will be increased by 0.05 yuan and 0.10 yuan per kWh respectively on the basis of the current electricity price standard.

According to the new policy, the evaluation results of environmental credit of enterprises used to implement the differentiated electricity price policy shall be based on the evaluation results automatically generated by the "Jiangsu Enterprise Environmental Credit Evaluation System" on the last day of every six months. In the first five working days of January and July respectively, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment summarized the list of enterprises whose evaluation results in the first half of the year were serious and untrustworthy, and submitted them to the Provincial Development and Reform Commission and the Provincial Electric Power Company for implementing the differential electricity price policy.

It is reported that the environmental credit evaluation of enterprises combines dynamic management with static application, the evaluation results are updated daily, and the list is published once every six months to implement policies such as differential electricity prices. The implementation period of half a year, on the one hand, will play a disciplinary role for enterprises, on the other hand, it will also give enterprises the opportunity to turn over a new leaf, give play to the characteristics of the current evaluation system with high timeliness and good operability, and further compact the environmental protection responsibilities of enterprises.
