The general secretary asked me how much it cost to build a cowshed and raise cattle, how much the state subsidized, and how much a cow could earn. When I came to the house, the general secretary sat on the kang of my house, took my hand and said, "You are younger than me, and you are my brother. Li guomin(The paraplegic wounded in Tangshan paraplegic sanatorium, Hebei Province, shaking hands with the general secretary in the picture): I am 60 years old. I used to work in No.8 Farm in Tang Haixian (now caofeidian area), Tangshan City. I was paraplegic in 1976 due to the earthquake.
At 10 am on July 28th, 2016, I was doing rehabilitation training with three other paraplegic patients in the rehabilitation room. Just then, the Supreme Leader General Secretary came to the recovery room with a smile on his face. He said, "I want to shake hands with everyone here." The general secretary shook hands while chatting with us like a family member and asked us in detail where we were injured at that time. How long was the treatment? Is there any other discomfort in your body now? Who are there in the family? Do family members often come to visit? How is life now? What does this exercise do? Care for us is really meticulous.
After leaving the rehabilitation room, the general secretary visited everyone in the reading room, the patient convalescent room and the activity room.
The arrival of the general secretary made us very excited and very proud and happy. We will continue to live an optimistic life and continue the miracle of life in the "mother’s home" of paraplegic sanatorium.
On July 29, 2016, the ceremony of the promotion of the rank of general by the Central Military Commission was held in Beijing Bayi Building. The supreme leader issued a writ to the officer who was promoted to the rank of general.
On August 23, 2016, the Supreme Leader inspected the ex situ poverty alleviation and relocation at the construction site of Banyan Village, Fifty Town, Huzhu Tu Autonomous County, Haidong City, Qinghai Province.
